East Midlands air freight lifts economy

Already the UK’s largest pure airfreight hub, EMA handled over 103,000 tonnes of cargo from May to July. The growth is driven by four new freight carriers, including one switching from Heathrow due to EMA’s central location.

Managing Director Steve Griffiths said the rise highlights EMA’s strategic value and supports UK trade and industry, especially with China.
